Professional piano tuning and repairs for upright and grand pianos across the Perth metropolitan area. With more than a decade of experience, Ronald provides careful, reliable service for private homes, schools and other venues. Appointments are usually available within a few days, and you’re welcome to call with any questions about your piano.
Minor repairs can often be completed during a tuning appointment, while more extensive repairs and restoration work can be carried out in our workshop.
Ronald continues to develop his skills through professional training workshops and has attended specialist workshops with C. Bechstein in Germany and Yamaha Pianos in Melbourne.
Tuning Upright Piano
This service includes a standard tuning and pedal adjustments as part of regular maintenance. Minor issues, such a sticking key, can often be resolved during the tuning at no extra charge. Annual tuning is recommended to maintain the condition and performance of the instrument. Cost: $275 incl GST
Tuning Grand Piano
Standard tuning for grand pianos. Additional work, such as resolving double-hitting or sticking keys, may incur extra charges. Annual tuning of your instrument is recommended to maintain stable pitch and performance. Cost: $275 incl GST
Pitchraise Tuning (additional service)
If the piano has not been tuned regularly, a pitch raise may be required to bring it back to standard pitch. This is a preliminary tuning carried out before the final tuning. Cost: Additional $110
Minor Repairs
Minor repairs identified during the tuning will be discussed with you. Any work outside the scope of a standard tuning will be quoted before proceeding.
Piano Repairs (Workshop)
We carry out major repair work, including action rebuilding, restringing, repinning, replacing felts, keytops and more. In most cases, the piano will be transported to our workshop.
